The neighbourhood borders Jan Thiel \u2014 known for its beach clubs, restaurants and beaches \u2014 but Jan Sofat itself is quiet. You'll reach Jan Thiel Beach in ten minutes, the centre of Willemstad in twenty, and the west coast with the island's best snorkelling spots in thirty-five.<\/p>\n      <p>The Spanish Water itself is not open sea but a large, sheltered bay. As a result, the water is always calm, and the wind is almost always steady \u2014 which is why this area is popular with sailors, kitesurfers and divers.
